Environmental Awareness

As part of sportscotland we aim to be an efficient and effective public body, we aim to continuously improve our environmental performance and integrate recognised carbon management best practice into all our business operations in order to reduce our consumption and improve the efficient use of resources and the management of waste.

We try not to over use areas and will avoid certain places at times when our presence may affect nesting birds, seals and other wildlife. Where we see a need for reseeding bare areas at crags we have carried out the work and also worked with landowners and other agencies to make changes to improve and protect the environment that we use.

Leave No Trace Trainers

To date 21 of our instructors have completed the Leave No Trace Trainers course which has reinforced the way in which we use and care for the environment we have an impact on.

Environmental Improvement Plan

Each year we set ourselves targets with our environmental improvement plan.

Annual Sustainability Report
